Watch the Dysautonomia International Conference From Home

The weekend, June 28 through 30, members of the Lumia Health team are headed to Chicago for the Dysautonomia International 12th Annual Conference.

Our CEO and Co-founder Daniel Ewok Lee will be sharing a special panel session on Sunday June 30th at 2pm Chicago time presenting the latest research from Lumia. The session will include a summary of the Stand Tests the team performed at last year's conference. The session is titled, "Tech Innovations in Dysautonomia Care: Tracking Blood Flow to the Head with an In Ear Wearable." He'll be joined on the panel by Dr. Amanda Miller and myself, Shivani Ugrin.

(This session will NOT be on the conference livestream, but we still think you will enjoy the virtual event!)

Can't come to Chicago? We've got the details on how to participate from home! Find out how to watch the Livestream of the sessions happening in the main hall from your sofa this weekend, or access the replay videos several weeks after the Conference is over.

It promises to be an exciting weekend of education for the entire community of people affected by orthostatic and autonomic nervous system conditions like Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), Orthostatic Hypotension (OH), Vasovagal Syncope (VVS or NCS), as well as rarer forms of autonomic conditions like AAG and synucleinopathy disorders such as Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) and Pure Autonomic Failure (PAF).

The agenda is packed with incredible sessions. I'm especially looking forward to the Norris Lab's update on new genetic findings in Hypermobile EDS, Dr. Cutchins' presentation on Vascular Compressions like MALS, Nutcracker and May-Thurner in POTS, Dr. Pace's latest update on the GI tract and Neuroimmune Axis disorders, and Dr. Saperstein speaking on EDS / HSD.
Not to mention that Dr. Goodman -- who is now at Metrodora Institute! -- will be sharing new insights on Glymphatics. There will be additional research updates on the long term outcomes in adults with POTS, the efficacy of compression garments, a neural basis for brain fog, and Vagus Nerve Stimulation. There are quite a few sessions touching on Mast Cell Activation Disorders (MCAS and MCAD) as well as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Hypermobility.

If you'll be with us in Chicago don't forget to stop by the Lumia Health table and say hello to our team!
We will have our now-almost-famous Hardware Petting Zoo on display where you can check out the Lumia ear piece, the Light Station, and Carry Case.
Maggie and Milena will both be performing ear fittings on a space-available basis -- contribute your ear measurement to help enrich the data set we will use to inform our virtual ear fitting process!

This year the conference has two different virtual options available.

Livestream Access -- $100
This year the conference will offer a livestream option for the lectures in the main ballroom on Saturday, June 29, 9am-5pm, and Sunday, June 30, 9am-4pm. Please note, all conference times are in Central Time since the conference is in Chicago. The livestream will be broadcast live through Zoom. You will have the opportunity to ask questions through the Zoom Q&A tool, and there will be helpful links and resource documents shared to the Zoom audience. Transcripts will be enabled for those who need it. The conference will also share the slides from speakers who give us permission to do so. Lastly, you will also have access to recordings from the main ballroom and a breakout room, which will be emailed to you about a month after the conference.

[Note: the Lumia Health panel will not be on the Livestream.]

Recording Access Only -- A Month or More Later -- $25
This option will give you access to all of the presentations recorded in the main ballroom and a breakout room on Saturday and Sunday during the conference. It typically takes about a month after the conference for the Dysautonomia International team to format all of the recordings and get them posted online. A code to access the recordings will be emailed to the purchaser when the recordings are ready.
